One Alarm Away: Mountain Pine EAST Project

In Honor of Tyler French and Tiffany Zielinski

Due to the high number of fire-related deaths in the Mountain Pine community in the past ten years, the city of Mountain Pine is in desperate need of better means by which to stay safe. A 2009–2013 study conducted by the National Fire Protection Association has determined that death rates are over twice as high in homes without smoke detectors. The Mountain Pine EAST team—determined to keep our community members as safe as possible—would like to see every home in our community equipped with the proper amount of smoke detectors. In order to acquire the funds necessary to ensure this, we need to collect data about Mountain Pine homes and present smoke alarm usage. If you live in or around the Mountain Pine area, please fill out this Anonymous Smoke Detector Survey and share the link. A saved life could be only one alarm away.
