Specialized Programs

The Mountain Pine School District Special Education Department seeks to ensure ALL students have equality of education, participation in the least restrictive environments, independent living skills, and self-sufficiency. 

Services We Offer

We provide a full range of services for students with disabilities, including:

  • Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • 504 Accommodation Plans

  • Speech and Language Therapy

  • Occupational and Physical Therapy

  • Social-Emotional and Behavioral Support

  • Resource Room / Learning Support

  • Inclusive Classes

  • Transition Planning (grades 8–12)

Services are tailored to meet each student's needs as determined through evaluation and team collaboration.

Parent Rights

 

Destruction of Records

 

After a student graduates or leaves the district, their special education records are kept in a secure location for six years.  After six years, the records are destroyed in a confidential manner.  If a student or parent (if the student is under 18) would like to request records, call the special education office at 501-767-1540 or email lesa.blees@mpsdrd.com
