Melissa Wilson
I graduated from Lake Hamilton High School in 2003. I received an honors scholarship to attend National Park College where I graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in 2005. Henderson State University offered me a tranfer scholarship, and I graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I decided to go back to college in 2010 to obtain a master’s degree. I enrolled at Arkansas State University and graduated in 2012 with a degree in Educational Leadership. Once I accepted the Gifted and Talented position, I went back for a graduate certificate; I attended University of Central Arkansas and finished in 2017.
I joined Mountain Pine’s Educational Team in 2009 where I taught third grade for two years. I was moved to fourth grade math and science in 2011 and taught for four years. In 2015, I was moved to second grade. I was given the opportunity to advance to a new position that I started in September of that year. I accepted the position of Gifted and Talented Program Coordinator and teacher (K-12) where I currently teach.
