I graduated from Mountain Pine High School in 1987 as a honor graduate. I graduated from Henderson State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design. I then returned to Henderson State University In 1995 and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Masters of Education degree in Special Education.
This summer I attended Professional Crisis Management training and received certification in this area. I attended required professional development such as active shooting, parental involvment, technology and curriculum planning in August.
I have been teaching at Mountain Pine Elementary School for 22 years. I currently teach Kindergarten through fourth grade special education classes.
I completed my internship at Lake Hamilton School District before I came to Mountain Pine in 1995
I have been married 24 years. My husband teaches advanced placement classes in European and World History at Lakeside High School. We have two children. My daughter is a senior at Henderson State University and will graduate in the spring with a Bachelor of Education degree. My son is a senior at Lakeside High School.
My family and I love to travel. We have been to almost all of the 50 states. Recently we traveled to Italy, England and France with a group of students and parents over Spring Break.
