I graduated from Lakeside High School in 2011. I then went and furthered my education at National Park Community College where I earned my Associates of Teaching Degree P-4. After earning my Associates Degree, I transferred to Henderson State University and graduated in 2015 with my Bachelors of Science in Education P-4. After teaching Second Grade for 4 years, I decided I wanted to focus soley on helping students become stronger readers. I went back to school and completed my Masters in Reading and recieved my Dyslexia Certification through Arkansas State University. I am now the Dyslexia Specialist for the District K-12.

I have my Bachelors of Science in Education P-4 and Masters in Reading. I have my Dyslexia Certification, and I am Connections OG in 3D trained and certified.

I had the opportunity to intern here at Mountain Pine and fell in love with not only the school but the students. I knew then that Mountain Pine was the school that had my heart. August 2015 was the start of my first year of teaching. I loved working with 2^nd Grade! My first two years of teaching, I only taught Language Arts and Social Studies for 2^nd Grade, but then my third and fourth year, I taught all subjects. While teaching 2^nd Grade, my passion for teaching really fourished. I decided to further my education and recieved my Masters in Reading through Arkansas State University. I am now the Dyslexia Specialist for the district, K-12.I love each of my students, and I am so proud to be a Red Devil! 

I am also currently on the Leadership Team here at Mountain Pine. We are continuing to find ways to improve the school, and we are contantly working on improving our students’ success. Our school motto is: It’s all about the kids!

Before working here at Mountain Pine, I worked at Oaklawn Baptist Preschool. I was employed there for five years. Children are our future and I believe every student has the potential to be successful! 

Some of the students here at Mountain Pine know me as Ms. Hutzel. The summer of 2016, I married my best friend and became Mrs. Lawrence. I have one fiur baby.She is a Pekingnese and her name is Sophie. I also have a beautiful baby girl. Her name is Blakely Kate, She was born in September of 2021.I am truly blessed!
